At Metal-Expo'2010 exhibition we presented new version 7 of our the most popular product WinSteel.

WinSteel 7 is essentially new software which follows in the tideway of up-to-date lines of software development, and at the same time continues a line of the software versions developed by us since 1991.

Its main differences from version 5.0 consist in the following:

• WinSteel 7 is fully compatible with Windows 7, the software operation was considerably accelerated and became intuitively to more clear. At that we have considerably reduced a number of procedures of the software and simplified operation with it.


• In WinSteel 7 we have refused menus, the software management and call of software procedures is realized by means of buttons-icons.


• The list of steel grades included in the software database consists of two parts now: the main list where there are not duplicated specifications as well as references to countries and standards and dynamically changing additional specifying list.


• The search of a grade in the database by mask has been modified and considerably accelerated.


• In WinSteel 7 we have refused concept of "Fast search". All equivalents which could be found in result of the Fast search are displayed in a Equivalents page of the information on a grade window and are grouped by countries.


• Search for equivalents by comparison of chemical compositions became intellectual. Now you won't need to choose search type, to setup its parameters, to select elements for search, etc. All it will be made for you by the software automatically.


• At the same time experts can spend this search in an expert mode in which we have kept possibility of manual selection and individual setup of elements for search.


• In different way information on standards is presented. Now, having chosen the necessary standard in the list, you will see not only its name, but list of grades covered by the standard also. Having clicked any grade from this list, you receive information on it, including the list of its foreign equivalents.

WinSteel. Since the last quarter we have added near 200 new grades in the database. For the most part these are Chinese grades for motor-car industry as well as different Russian grades produced by TU. Besides some duplicated ASTM grades has been deleted. The total quantity of grades in WinSteel database is 83854 now.

WinAlloy. Since the last quarter we have added near 70 new grades in the database. In most they are special commercial alloys produced by steel and metal companies of the world as well as Russian casting copper alloys. Besides some duplicated ASTM grades has been deleted. The total quantity of grades in WinAlloy database is 39606 now.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 5 new mills has been added in the database. New asset of Novorosmetall namely Abinskiy Electrometallurgical Works as well as small Russian and Ukrainian producers are among them.

Now WinPlant. BLACK database contains information on products of 621 plants including 77 plants of non-CIS countries.

We have added in the database information on new equipment, installed at Izhstal plant and Mayak Group of Companies as well as new products developed by 5 plants. Information on 47 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders has been updated.

WinPlant. RED. Information on 5 new plants has been included in the database. Russian Non-Ferrous Metals Works, Kamkabel, Promsintes-M, Ukrainian Elit Profile Service and Kazakh Toksym companies are among them.

Now WinPlant. RED database contains information on products of 344 plants including 16 plants of non-CIS countries.

We have added information on new products developed by 3 companies. Information on 15 plants included in the database earlier and on their products and traders has been updated.

Simdex Publishing has issued July 2010 update of The Simdex Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide CD-ROM.

In comparison with previous May 2010 data update information on 75 new projects of near 17,000 km length has been added. The most of the new pipelines will be built in North America (21) and Asia (18). 16 new pipelines will be built in Middle East, 10 pipelines will be built in Europe, 5 ones in Africa and in 2s in Latin America and Australasia.

Now the software database contains data on 831 future pipelines and on 1547 started or completed projects (since 2004). You can see more details on the current update here.

WinSteel. Since the last quarter we have added more than 800 new grades in the database. For the most part these are different Indian grades, structural Mexican and Argentinian grades as well as commercial special alloys produced by world steel companies. The total quantity of grades in WinSteel database is 83794 now.

WinAlloy. Since the last quarter we have added near 90 new grades in the database. In most they are special commercial alloys produced by steel and metal companies of the world as well as Russian Al alloys. The total quantity of grades in WinAlloy database is 39633 now.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 14 new mills and managing companies has been added in the database. New UAE mill Hamriyah Steel FZC of Metalloinvest, U.S. Steel Kosice, s.r.o. (Slovak Republic), new asset Severstal-TPZ-Sheksna of Severstal as well as several small Russian, Ukrainian and Kazakh producers are among them.

Now WinPlant. BLACK database contains information on products of 619 plants including 78 plants of non-CIS countries.

We have added in the database information on new equipment, installed at Dneprovsky Iron & Steel Integrated Works named after F.Dzerzhinsky as well as new productions launched at Caspian Stal and DONETSKSTAL. Information on 53 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders has been updated.

WinPlant. RED. Now WinPlant. RED database contains information on products of 340 plants including 17 plants of non-CIS countries.

We have added information on new products developed by Zaporozhye Titanium and Magnesium Combine and Gefest SMC. Information on 21 plants included in the database earlier and on their products and traders has been updated.

Simdex Publishing has issued May 2010 update of The Simdex Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide CD-ROM.

In comparison with previous March 2010 data update information on 60 new projects of more than 11,000 km length has been added. The most of the new pipelines will be built in Europe (24) and in Middle East (16). 9 new pipelines will be built in North America, 6 pipelines will be built in Latin America, 3 ones in Africa and 2 in Asia.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 10 new mills and managing companies has been included in the database. New Romanian asset of MeChel S.C. LAMINORUL S.A., Volzhskiy Tube Section-Shaped Plant, Kamensk-Uralsky Pipe Works, TSA-Steel Group, Oktan, Vtorprom and others are among them.

Now WinPlant. BLACK database contains information on products of 607 plants including 79 plants of non-CIS countries.

We have added in the database information on new equipment, installed at KRASNY OKTYABR Volgograd Steel Works, Novosibirsk metallurgical plant and Simbirsk Tube-Rolling Works as well as on new products developed by 5 plants. Information on 57 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders has been updated.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 5 new mills and managing companies has been included in the database. New asset of Ukrainian Mining-Metallurgical Company - UGMK. Zaporizhzhia Manufacturian Complex, producers of roll-formed profiles A-Trade and Izhtorgmetall, producer of welded tubes Technoint as well as Rostechnologii - new managing company of VSMPO-AVISMA and RusSpecStal are among them.

Now WinPlant. BLACK database contains information on products of 603 plants including 79 plants of non-CIS countries.

We have added in the database information on new equipment, i.e. SMS Meer ring-rolling mill installed at Ruspolymet plant as well as on new products developed by 7 plants. Information on 72 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders has been updated.

WinPlant. RED. Information on 3 new plants and managing companies has been included in the database.
